Georges Kern studied political science in Strasbourg and graduated in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. He gained his first experience with Kraft Foods Switzerland before moving into the watch industry at TAG Heuer (LVMH Group). In 2000 he joined the Richemont Group where he was actively involved in integrating A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC, all recently acquired by the Group. When Georges Kern joined IWC Schaffhausen early in 2002, at the age of 36, he became the youngest CEO at Richemont.
