Oliviero Toscani studied photography and design at the University of the Arts in Zurich. He is internationally recognised as the creative force behind some of the world’s most successful brands. He has created advertising campaigns for companies including Esprit, Chanel, Fiorucci and Prenatal, and helped build the image of United Colors of Benetton, transforming it into one of the world’s best-known brands. In 2005, after decades of innovation in editorial, advertising, fi lm and television, Oliviero Toscani founded La Sterpaia, a workshop for modern communication research which produces books, television programmes, editorial projects and exhibitions.
